Al-Mutanabbi is considered a cornerstone of Arabic poetry, as he represents Arab culture in all its complexity and detail. My thesis, entitled "Al-Mutanabbi's Poetry Between the Discourse of Intercultural Exchange: The Centrality of the Arab Self – A Cultural Approach," addressed many issues, including the relationship between intellectuals and authority, and various cultural patterns, such as the pattern of the threatened self and the pattern of the coexistence between the Arab self and other groups. The Arab self emerged as a central, ruling, and practicing entity, lacking nothing in its personal aspects. Therefore, I chose cultural purposes and their various procedures by deconstructing rhetorical structures, bypassing the password to reach the cultural structure that respects the psychological references of Arab life, utilizing all that has been achieved in cultural criticism as a critical method to decipher these codes.
